Back on our own pitch for the first time this year - and it was still heavy with some standing water
Brompton started well and were 1-0 up inside 30 seconds as we stayed asleep with their first attack
Within 3 minutes Andrew pulled us level after neat work between Harry and Jake with a short corner cross in for Andrew
8min - Harrys goal of the season so far with a neat lob of the keeper from the edge of the area
Jake was then fouled, twice, with a tackle from behind - resulting in nothing more than a painful ankle for the rest of the game but no penalty - Jake was slowed down for much of the rest of the game but did make it 3-1 before 1/2 time
Louis had a great game with a hat- trick of well deserved goal as he battled forwards from midfield
4th and 5th and 9th goals to Louis - one with a header - as Bromptom continued to be strong opposition pulling the game back to 4-2 at one point
The 6th 7 th and 8th goals for Jake put the game beyond doubt as time after time we made chances but unlike last week did not work enough as a team to make even more scoring opportunities
9-3 was a fair result but Brompton are a tough team and much improved
We still need to pass more up front whilst still being able to go it alone - and at times the defence was caught napping - the chip ball from midfield forwards to Jake or other forwards which worked so well last week didn't happen as much today but that is perhaps a harsh criticism of what was after all a convincing win
